Hello everyone. I’ve been away! I’ve been a bad newsletter writer! This is mostly because— yes, I’m sure you’ve heard— my book, Drawn Together, just came out. It’s all I’ve been talking about for, like, three months (maybe more). And while I’m ALMOST ready to stop talking about it, I can’t deny that I’ve still got book-brain. I think it’s normal? You spend all this time working on a thing and then it's just out there. It exists. You wonder what to do next.
I’ve got a couple of essays rolling around in the back of my head, but I thought, to get back into the swing of things, I’d share a comic that ultimately got cut from the book, about the movie Sliding Doors.
This week I wondered, in the spirit of Sliding Doors, what would’ve happened if I had I kept the comic in. Would it have changed the course of the book’s history? Would it instantly make it an international bestseller? YOU. TELL. ME.
Note: Spoilers for the 1998 film “Sliding Doors” ahead
What to do next? I don’t know! I’ll be sure to come back next week, though. Onward we go.

P.S. If you live in NYC, I’ll be at The Strand on Thursday, July 28th, at 7pm discussing my book with illustrator and writer Ariella Elovic! Click here for tickets. Ariella also has an amazing newsletter called “Snack Time” that you should totally check out.
I have not stopped talking about your book since I recieved it! It actually came to work with me today so I could share it with my co-workers! I love it! And I love this piece that was left out too! Simply brilliant!!
